Traumatic birth recovery

You may have experienced a difficult birth or poor postnatal care, or another traumatic perinatal event, that has left you experiencing trauma symptoms and finding it hard to move on, or you may have supported a woman in her labour and are feeling these same emotions.

Trauma symptoms are a completely normal response to the difficult situation you’ve been through.

The Traumatic Birth Recovery 3 Step Rewind Technique is a gentle and safe process that will lift your symptoms, enabling you to heal and move on. Put simply, it detaches the arousing emotions associated with the event, from the memory of it.

And because the process works on your symptoms, emotions, feelings, you don’t need to tell the story if you don’t want to or disclose details you may not want to share.

It is not a process that will erase the memory of the event, but will change the emotions that the event triggers on you, so you will be able to think, feel and respond differently, enabling you to move on and living free from the unhelpful symptoms and feelings. It ignites your own natural ability to heal, by using a guided relaxation and working with the power of your mind and your imagination.

You may find that you gain some useful tools for your future, as well.

It is a three step process and healing begins from the very first session.

It is usually structured as follows:

Session 1 (90 minutes)

I’ll listen to your story if you want to, you will have the opportunity to reflect on how it is impacting you day to day and then draw your future goal state, that’s how you’d like to feel if you didn’t have these symptoms. Practice relaxation and imagine your future free of those feelings whilst deeply relaxed.

Session 2 (60 minutes)

The aim of this session is to use Rewind to re-process the memory of your birth so it no longer holds any emotional charge or anxiety. To experience your future solution state whilst deeply relaxed.

Session 3 (45 minutes)

This session takes place 10-14 days after Step 2 and is an important review of the process and check-in on the changes that have occurred. To focus on building confidence and resilience so that you no longer feel like you are owned by what happened and are able to begin enjoying your life as a new mother.
After the first session, I’ll send you the recorded relaxation, so you can use it in between sessions, which can enhance the benefits of the process. This relaxation is totally written for your specific needs and future goal state.

Hello, I'm Nuria

Over the years accompanying women and their families during pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, I have been able to observe the emotional impact of some traumatic events they have experienced; from long fertility treatments, to difficult births, or complicated postnatal times.

All this ignited in me an interest in perinatal mental health and I decided to train myself in this area to be able to accompany better, with a broader and more sensitive perspective and with the appropriate tools for it.

I can help you in many ways, at your pace, in the way that better fits you, always by your side with a spirit of love and compassion, and focused on helping you build your own emotional resilience
